SYDNEY FRENCH CHOIR

The Sydney French Choir (SFC) is part of Oz Choirs and Music Inc. SFC is conducted by Ms Amandine Petit a French national who is highly qualified as a Musical Director and singer with various chamber orchestras in Sydney.

SFC is "not for profit" initiative of the Sydney French Language Group formed in 2008. The SFC aims at combining Francophone choral art and music with the objective of fostering cultural exchange.Furtheremore ,the choir remains true to its creative and research mission to find, preserve and interpret the French folklore, jazz, pop,sacred, classic and cabaret music.

Members of the choir come from diverse professions and backgrounds such as: school and university students,teachers, lawyrs,white and blue collar workers.

The SFC has performed at the Closing Ceremony of the Canadian Film Festival, La Fête Francophonie", La Fête de la Musique at Fox Studios at "ChoirFest"; a high profile annual choir Festival held in Sydney and recently at the Biannual Festival of Choirs, hosted by the Australian Musicians Academy ( 27/09/09 )

Sydney French Choir is looking for singers to rehearse a diverse Francophone choral repertoire, including styles such as: Classic, Pop, Jazz, Cabaret, Barbershop, Sacred and Alternative.

Performance: a public performance will be held at end of term.
Rehearsal Venue: Actors College for Theatre and Television, 505 Pitt Street, Sydney (Opposite Central Station)

2010 Rehearsals
Term 3 starts on 14th July ends 8th Sept,
Term 4 starts 6th October ends 1st December.
